5-day Shoemaking intensive with Fiona Thomson of In Hide Leather.
Discover the art of leathercraft in this immersive, hands-on workshop designed for makers of all experience levels. Across five creative days, participants will learn the essentials—tool use, pattern-making, cutting, stitching, and finishing—to build confidence and skill.
In the first half of the workshop, you'll complete two introductory projects such as cardholders, key tags, or journal covers. These are designed to help you master leatherworking techniques and explore your creative style.
Then, guided by experienced leather artisan Fiona Thomson, you'll take a bold step forward: crafting your own pair of handmade leather shoes. From selecting the leather to assembling and finishing, you’ll experience the entire footwear-making process with expert support.
Whether you're exploring a new passion, expanding your maker skills or you simply wish to make your very own fitted and bespoke shoes, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to shape, stitch, and stride into craftsmanship.
